RIP to the Tattoo Recession: RIP Tattoo Care Fights Back with Community Initiatives and Local Collaborations
San Antonio, TX. - As the tattoo industry faces what some are calling a "tattoo recession," RIP Tattoo Care is launching a robust community initiative to support local artists and businesses. Known for their high-quality tattoo aftercare products, RIP Tattoo Care is stepping up to aid the tattoo community through a series of tattoo giveaways and collaborations, aiming to counteract the downturn and foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment.
Many are citing economic struggles as the cause of the decrease in clients, but some industry insiders suggest this recession is partly due to a growing demand for more welcoming artists and shops. RIP Tattoo Care is addressing both these challenges by showcasing their sponsored artists, who are known for their exceptional work and friendly, professional demeanors, and also footing the bill with their tattoo giveaways.
Each contest, hosted on the company’s Instagram page (@riptattoocare), features a collaboration with one of their sponsored tattoo artists. The grand prize winner receives a free tattoo from the featured artist and a gift basket filled with items from local alternative businesses, such as Gravves Coffee, Noirceur, Stickers ‘N Stars, and The Gilded Bone.
“We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local businesses, especially during tough economic times,” said Blake Isaac, owner of RIP Tattoo Care. “This initiative is our way of giving back to the people who have supported us and the artists who create such incredible work. It's essential that we come together to help each other through this recession.”
Previous giveaways have showcased the talents of Tomi Cassandra (@tomi.cassandra) of Cursed Mark and Stephen DeVerter (@devs_ink) of Bright and Bold Tattoos. Upcoming contests will feature other San Antonio artists including John Lopez (@jlopeztattoos), Abel Hinojosa (@dredsoull), Jair Hernandez (@deathandrest), and Alexander (@know_tattoos), all of Blackline Tattoos.
“Our goal is to create a fun and memorable experience for our winners and showcase both the talent of these artists and the products we believe in,” added Kasi Nicole, co-owner of RIP Tattoo Care. “By supporting these artists and collaborating with local businesses, we're not only offering a helping hand but also fostering a sense of solidarity and resilience within our community. Our sponsored artists represent the best in both skill and personality, ensuring a welcoming experience for all clients.”
